THE 10TH AFRICAN NUTRITION CONFERENCE (ANC 2026 / ANEC X)
The African Nutrition Society (ANS), in collaboration with the Nutritionists Association of Namibia (NAN), is pleased to announce the 10th African Nutrition Conference (ANC 2026 / ANEC X), scheduled to take place in Windhoek, Namibia from 30 November – 04 December 2026.
Theme:
“From Evidence to Impact: Accelerating Nutrition Action in Africa”
ANC 2026 will bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, development partners, academics, students, and nutrition professionals from across Africa and beyond to discuss innovative solutions and evidence-based approaches for improving nutrition and health outcomes on the continent.
The conference will provide a platform for:
• Knowledge sharing and policy dialogue
• Research dissemination and networking
• Capacity building for students and early-career professionals
• Collaboration across nutrition, health, agriculture, and development sectors
Conference Sub-Themes:
- Governance, policy, financing and accountability for nutrition
- Food systems, climate resilience and healthy diets
- Double burden of malnutrition, NCDs and infection
- Indigenous foods, culture and sustainable diets
- Capacity building and nutrition workforce development
- Research, data systems and nutrition surveillance

• Late/On-site Registration: October – November 2026
